Kurumi Mirai (来海みらい Kurumi Mirai) is Kurumi Ayano's mother. She is a woman who is always travelling around the world for unknown reasons. She is also a widow.
Appearance[]
Mirai has long dark blue hair, and has purple-coloured eyes. She wears jeans and a white shirt underneath a black jacket, along with black high heels.
Personality[]
Mirai appears to be cheerful and friendly, and loves her family. She is also very curious, and has managed to get over the death of her husband by believing that he is always watching over the Kurumi family.
Relationships[]
Kurumi Ayano - Ayano is her daughter. Mirai would do anything to help out her daughter, and hates it when she cannot help nor see Ayano. She is the one who tries to help Ayano get over the death of Daisuke.
Kurumi Erika - Erika is Ayano's older twin sister, but is not Mirai's daughter, nevertheless, Mirai believed that she was Erika's mother, and thus wanted to know everything about Erika.
Kurumi Daisuke - Daisuke is Mirai's late husband, and his death did leave her distraught, but she managed to get over it. Daisuke and Mirai seemed to care for each other very much when Daisuke was alive.
Etymology[]
Kurumi (来海): Kuru (来) translates to "come; coming; due; next", while Mi (海) translates to "sea; ocean". Roughly, the two together may be translated to the coming sea.
Mirai (みらい): Mirai only has one meaning, which is "future".
Mirai's name means "coming sea future".
